Mr. Stephen Weber, Wind Ensemble, 6th Grade Band, Symphony Orchestra
Mr. Weber is a 1983 graduate of Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca, Texas. Following high school, he attended Stephen F. Austin St. University where graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1988. Mr. Weber has performed graduate studies at the University of Texas and the University of North Texas. He has worked as a band director in Industrial ISD in Vanderbilt, Texas, Bryan ISD, Ganado ISD, and now at Northside ISD in San Antonio, Texas. This is Mr. Weber's fourth year of teaching at Hobby Middle School.
Mr. Weber started playing trumpet in the 6th grade and, because of braces, had to switch to the tuba when he went to high school. He learned how to play the tuba and also picked up the bass guitar. Mr. Weber played in a country band for a year in the early 90's, and his country band was fortunate enough to "warm-up" other bands and artists including Mason Dixon, Marty Stuart, and Sawyer Brown.
Mr. Weber lives in San Antonio and has three brothers who live in Texas (two in Austin, one in La Porte) and one sister who lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He also has a son who currently attends Locke Hill Elementary School. Mr. Weber doesn't have any pets since he is never at home and is always "on the go." In his spare time, Mr. Weber likes to read, listen to music, and play on his computer. He loves his GameCube and always likes to play any type of computer game. He likes to drink coffee in the mornings, and his favorite type of food to eat is seafood!!!!
